The Strange Unfolding Steel Weapon

[ Prologue ]

INU:   It's now time for Inuyasha!

KAG:  To find the Sacred Jewel fragments,

INU:   I have to defeat Naraku with this Tetsusaiga!

KAG:  We’re crippled by Mukotsu’s poison. It’s another Shichinintai trap! A demon in heavy steel amour is approaching us!

INU:   Miroku and Sango and Shippo and Kirara!

KAG:  An excitng adventure unfolds!

INU & KAG: Inuyasha!

[ recap ]

Recap from previous episode. Mukotsu is cowering in the bushes while Sesshomaru advances towards him.

Mukotsu: If I was really planning to go against you… (turns around with a big container in hand) I would do this.

Crimson fumes rush out at Sesshomaru, who doesn't flinch.

Mukotsu: How's that? So what if you're a demon?

The fumes empty out. Sesshomaru is still intact.

Mukotsu: Why didn't he melt? This is Lord Mukotsu's poison!

Sesshomaru slashes Mukotsu into two with Tokijin. Mukotsu yells as his flesh rots away. Mukotsu is reduced to a pile of bones.

Cut to Jakotsu [JKS] and Renkotsu [RKS] in a temple. RKS is in the old monk's clothes.

RKS:  I see… So after Kyokotsu, Mukotsu died as well?

JKS:   Yeah. Now there are only four of us left.

RKS:  If you take two away from seven, you'll get five.

JKS:   Huh? (starts counting with fingers)

RKS:  Anyway, Jakotsu, Inuyasha's group was attacked by Mukotsu's poison, right?

JKS:   Yeah, Mukotsu's poison is pretty potent. They won't get to live beyond sunset.

By a waterfall. SAN, MIR and KAG are lying unconscious on a large boulder. KIR, SHI and INU look at them worriedly.

Back in the temple.

RKS:  This is getting interesting. The truth is, Ginkotsu is heading towards Inuyasha right now.

Cut to forest. A large mechanical zombie trudges loudly through a forest.

RKS:  (voice-over) That Ginkotsu… He's a very strong opponent.

[ ACT I ]

Continuation from previous episode. Daytime. JKS and RKS are in the temple.

JKS:   (exasperated) That's not fair, Brother Renkotsu! Inuyasha is my prey!

RKS:  Don't say that, Jakotsu. I have already prepared another task for you.

JKS:   (whining) Unfair! Unfair! Unfair!

RKS:  Stop it. You're not a kid anymore.

JKS:   But Brother, Inuyasha is my…

RKS:  Stop being so selfish. Just do what you're told to do.

JKS sighs in frustration.

RKS:  Besides, if you return early, you might just make it in time… to see how Inuyasha dies.

By a lake. INU is piggybacking an unconscious KAG. KIR carries SHI and the unconscious MIR and SAN.

INU:   Is it getting worse, Kagome? Please hang in there!

SHI:   Hang in there… Sango, Miroku!

INU:   (thinking) I have to hurry and take them to somewhere safe. I must hurry…

The reverend [REV] and his apprentice [APP] from episode 103 are traveling past a waterfall.

APP:   Reverend, the weather is wonderful today.

REV:   Yes, with this fine weather, I doubt we'll meet any ghosts or demons.

APP:   I don't know how you came to that conclusion, but that's a really comforting thought.

REV:   Let's go, Shouji. We must get away from this forsaken place.

APP:   Yes.

APP and REV reach the waterfall. A pink glow is seen behind the waterfall.

APP:   What's that?

A large silhouette appears behind the waterfall and chuckles. Large steel plates suddenly rush out towards APP and REV. They fall to the ground, trembling in fear. The large zombie from previous episode, Ginkotsu, steps out. The two run away, terrified.

APP:   Help…!

Ginkotsu laughs.

Ginkotsu abbreviated as GKS from now onwards.

Cut to JKS sitting under a tree, on a hill overlooking a village. He is plucking petals from a flower.

JKS:   (sad) He'll die… (glad) He won't… (sad) He will… (glad) He won't… (sad) He will…

One petal is left on the flower.

JKS:   (dramatic, happy) He won't die! (throws the flower away and sighs) Just when I've finally met Inuyasha… Brother Renkotsu is so mean.

JKS:   (lovelorn) Inuyasha… (stands and walks) Well, that's too bad. Before Brother Ginkotsu defeats Inuyasha, I'll have to finish my task. I hope he doesn't die before I get there… Inuyasha… But his opponent is Ginkotsu… Then…

INU-gang is walking along a path. SHI looks at MIR and SAN worriedly and turn to INU.

SHI:   Inuyasha, we can't keep moving about. The poison will spread faster.

INU:   I know, but we can't stop now. While I was chasing after Jakotsu, the Shichinintai attacked Kagome and the others. If they know Kagome and the others are poisoned, I'm sure that they will attack us.

SHI:   But Inuyasha, the poison will spread…

INU:   That's why we're looking so hard for a safe place!

INU stops suddenly.

SHI:   What's wrong, Inuyasha? Inuyasha?

Steel blades suddenly fly out from the forest across the lake towards them.

SHI:   Wh-What's that?!

INU:   Take cover! Shippo, Kirara!

INU, SHI and KIR duck as the blades fly past them and cuts some trees. They swerve and return to the forest across.

INU:   Could it be the Shichinintai? (thinking) We're at a great disadvantage. (stands) Come, Kirara!

INU and KIR run in the dense forest.

INU:   He won't be able to use his flying weapon in the forest!

Cut to GKS in the forest across the lake. A barrel on his back rises and fires a shrapnel bomb. The bomb explodes and shrapnel shower the area.

INU:   (looks up) What?!

The shrapnels hit the forest and explode. Parts of the forest start to burn.

INU:   Damn! Is he planning to burn the whole forest?

SHI:   Inuyasha…

INU:   Don't panic! He's just attacking randomly! (thinking) We must first protect Kagome and the others.

Cut to RKS in the temple courtyard. He is burying the dead monks in a pit. He looks up.

RKS:  It has begun.

Cut to JKS walking along a path. He looks up.

JKS:   I'd better hurry, too.

GKS releases another shrapnel bomb as INU and KIR are running in the forest. They stop.

INU:   This way!

INU and KIR run in another direction. They reach the end of the forest and come to a cave.

SHI:   (pointing) Inuyasha!

Cut to inside of cave. INU lays KAG on the ground. MIR and SAN lie next to her. INU, SHI and KIR look at them worriedly.

INU:   (thinking) Damn… The poison has spread through their bodies. If this continues…

SHI:   Kagome… Miroku… Sango…

INU:   Shippo, stay here and keep an eye on them. Don't leave this place.

SHI:   Inuyasha, what will you do?

INU:   What will I do? You already know the answer. (runs out of cave)

SHI:   Inuyasha… (clenches fist determinedly) I must be more dependable!

KIR licks SAN.

Cut to INU outside the cave.

INU:   I'll kill him no matter what!

INU leaps.

[ End of ACT I: 10min 15sec ]

[ ACT II ]

A crow is flying in the sky. MYO is on its back.

MYO:  I was away for only a while, and Master Inuyasha has traveled this far! What the hell is Master Inuyasha doing so far north? (gasps) Could they be at the hot springs?

Cut to MYO's imagination of INU-gang at a hot spring. INU is resting, SHI is swimming with a float, while MIR raises a 'peace' sign.

SHI:   Wow! This is great!

Cut to SAN, KIR and SAN in another spring. KAG holds up a placard:

KAG:  Hot spring is good for poor circulation, stiff neck and athlete's foot!

Cut to reality. MYO cries spitefully.

MYO:  I can't believe they went on such a great trip without me! (resolute) I'll definitely catch up with you, Master Inuyasha!

The crow caws and flies faster.

MYO:  Be careful! Don't make me fall!

Cut to INU sprinting in the forest.

INU:   Where… Where is he?! (thinking) Damn, the smell of gunpowder is everywhere! I can't even find his scent!

A bright light is seen in the distance.

INU:   Over there?!

Cut to GKS trudging towards the cave. SHI and KIR look out at the entrance.

SHI:   (trembling) Wh-What is that?

INU arrives at the bright spot in the forest. It turns out to be a bomb reflecting the sunlight.

INU:   Shit, it's a trap! (turns) Kagome!

GKS fires the entrance of the cave with a gun-like thing on his shoulder. Cut to inside of cave. Pieces of the ceiling fall as SHI cowers in fear.

SHI:   If this goes on, we'll be buried alive!

KIR pauses for a moment and runs out of the cave.

SHI:   Kirara?!

KIR reaches the outside of the cave and growls at GKS. KIR pounces. GKS releases a metal clamp from his hand at KIR, who dodge. The clamp swerves, opens and grabs KIR from the back. KIR growls in pain. GKS then retracts the clamp a little and slams KIR onto the wall on the outside of the cave. KIR collapses to the ground as GKS releases and retracts his clamp. SHI looks on in fear.

GKS:  I'll slice up all of you!

GKS releases steel plates towards the cave. SHI cowers and shrieks. INU suddenly leaps out and throws a Wind Scar, throwing the plates off.

INU:   Wind…Scar!!!

INU lands in front of the cave and face GKS.

SHI:   Inuyasha!

INU:   Are you okay?

SHI:   (goes to KIR) Kirara is safe as well.

INU:   Hey, you! How dare you trick me!

The steel blades return to GKS's back. A brake is applied and the blades stop spinning.

GKS:  Inuyasha.

INU:   You don't look human.

GKS:  My name is Ginkotsu.

INU:   I'd love to listen to your stories, but I've got no time. (sprints forth) I'll get rid of you as soon as I can!

GKS:  (steps forward and laughs) I think your plan is to save your poisoned friends as soon as you can. Am I right? Then you'll have to do that before sunset.

INU:   What? Sunset?!

GKS:  Don't worry, I'll make sure they die before the sun sets!

GKS bends a little and the steel plates spin out towards INU, who blocks with TET while running forward.

INU:   Kirara, take everyone and run away!

KIR, standing, and SHI nod and run into the cave. GKS sniggers and raise his clamp.

INU:   Stop that! (strikes GKS's clamp-hand) I'm your opponent!

Cut to KIR flying in the air with MIR, SHI, SAN and KAG on her back.

SHI:   Inuyasha…!!!

INU:   (thinking) I'm counting on you, Shippo!

INU tries to hold off GKS. SHI looks at his comrades worriedly.

Cut to KIR in the air.

SHI:   Hurry, Kirara. We have to save Kagome and the others! (looks around) A safe place… A safe place… (clasps his head and shouts exasperatedly) Where can I find a safe place?!

KIR notices a temple on a hill and grunts to SHI.

SHI:   A… A temple! Kirara, over there!

KIR flies towards the temple.

KIR lands in the temple courtyard. SHI gets off and looks around. RKS (without his war-makeup) walks up to him.

SHI:   E-Excuse me…

RKS smiles.

[ End of ACT II: 15min 46sec ]

[ ACT III ]

Cut to INU and GKS fighting in the forest. INU is running and dodging GKS's steel blades. The blades return to GKS, gain more speed and spin towards INU again in different directions.

INU:   Damn…

GKS:  Inuyasha, you've already let your friends go. You can die without regrets.

INU listens for the movement of the blades. He blocks some of them with TET, but one of them slices him in the shoulder. The blades return to GKS.

INU:   Get ready to die as well, Ginkotsu! (raises TET but is stopped short) What?

Steel wires have been formed around INU and TET, making INU unable to move TET.

Cut to inside of temple. KAG, MIR and SAN are sleeping in a row. KAG wakes.

SHI:   Kagome…

KAG:  Shippo… Where…

SHI:   We're hiding in a temple. Miroku and Sango are still unconscious.

KAG:  (thinking) Inuyasha…

RKS:  (walks in) So you're awake. That's great. Please rest well.

KAG gasps as she notices a pink glow in RKS's neck.

KAG:  (thinking) A Sacred Jewel fragment. This person is… one of the Shichinintai…?

Back to INU and GKS.

INU:   Tetsusaiga…! Steel wires?!

GKS:  Brother warned me not to let you swing your sword.

INU:   So… (looks around, thinking) There are steel wires everywhere.

Back in the temple.

KAG:  (thinking) I'm sure of it. He's one of the Shichinintai! My body can't…! (opens mouth) I can't speak!

RKS:  How terrible. I heard you were poisoned. The poison probably spread because you were moving around. Everyone is weak, so they won't be waking up anytime soon.

SHI looks at the unconscious SAN and MIR.

KAG:  (thinking) Shippo, look at me… please!

RKS kneels next to KAG and holds out his hand. KAG winces. RKS merely brushes KAG's fringe aside. KAG looks at RKS and he smiles. He then puts a flask on the ground. Incense fumes appear form the flask.

RKS:  You should sleep for a while longer. (walks out slowly)

KAG:  (thinking) I must run away…from here…

SHI gradually falls asleep on KAG.

KAG:  (thinking) This smell… It can't be! (struggles to keep awake) I can't…

KAG falls asleep.

RKS:  (thinking) Don't worry. I won't kill you now. If Inuyasha makes it in time, we can all have a nice, long chat together.

Back to INU and GKS. GKS release more steel blades around INU. On each blade is a steel wire, which ties around INU.

INU:   (struggling) Damn! Y-You…! (thinking) What should I do? I can't use Wind Scar now. What should I do… (looks up and smirks) It's worth a shot.

TET reverts back to its rusty state and INU sheathes it. GKS laughs.

GKS:  Have you given up, Inuyasha?

INU:   Shut up! I'm going to tear you to pieces! (sprints carefully among the steel wires)

GKS:  Get ready to die!

GKS spins more steel blades towards INU. INU continue running towards GKS. GKS then throws out his clamp-hand.

GKS:  It's no use!

INU jumps onto the clamp and springs off. GKS then unsheathes his sword only to find INU gone.

INU:   I'm right over here!

INU is high up in the air, leaping down towards GKS.

INU:   Get a taste of my Wind Scar! Go to hell!

GKS is shocked.

INU:   Wind…Scar!!!

INU throws a Wind Scar which cuts GKS. A large hole is made in the ground and GKS falls in, shrieking. INU lands. GKS is covered in rubble. INU gasps and looks up. The sun is almost setting.

Cut to INU sprinting in a forest.

INU:   (thinking) I'd better hurry. I'm worried about Kagome! Kagome!

Cut to KAG, SHI, SAN, KIR and MIR asleep in the temple. RKS is still burying the dead monks in the courtyard.

Cut to JKS walking along a path.

Cut to MYO on the crow, searching the land.

Back to INU running in the forest.

INU:   (thinking) Kagome… Wait for me!
